Welcome to URL Organizer (referred to as "the App", "we", "our", or "us"), crafted by JEWEALITY and developer Mahesh Varma. This Privacy Policy governs your use of URL Organizer on the Android operating system.
Most link bookmarking and reading services require mandatory cloud accounts, sync your browsing habits to external servers, and monetize your web activity through profiling. URL Organizer takes the diametrically opposite approach:
โจ
Local-First Guarantee
We do not operate any user database, cloud sync servers, or tracking pipelines. Your links, tags, security ratings, and notes exist only on your physical smartphone and never touch our servers.
We believe in total transparency. Below is an itemized breakdown of what happens to data inside the app:

URL Organizer features a proprietary, on-device heuristic engine that inspects every link you add against 13 distinct cyber threat indicators, including:
- Direct IP Address Hosts (e.g.
http://192.168.1.1/login)
- Brand Spoofing & Lookalike Domains (e.g.
paypa1.com, g00gle.com)
- Excessive Subdomains & Punycode / Homoglyph Obfuscation
- High-Risk Top-Level Domains (TLDs) historically tied to spam campaigns
- Dangerous File Extensions (
.apk, .exe, .bat, .vbs, .scr)
- HTTP Unencrypted Protocol Warnings
Key Privacy Point: This heuristic calculation occurs 100% offline inside the app code on your phone. Your URLs are not queried against remote lookup databases during this primary scan.
Within the Settings > Behavior menu, you have the option to enable "Online safety check".

Explicit User Consent Required
This feature is disabled by default. When toggled on, an explicit consent dialog explains that URL hashes will be sent through an encrypted API proxy to check Google Web Risk threat intelligence feeds. You can turn this off at any time.
When disabled, URL Organizer relies exclusively on the offline heuristic engine, guaranteeing zero network transmissions for security checks.
Modern marketing and social platforms append invasive tracking tokens to links when you copy or share them. URL Organizer features an automated Tracking Parameter Cleaner.
When enabled, the app strips known ad-tracking query parameters, including but not limited to:
utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, fbclid (Meta/Facebook), gclid (Google Ads), igshid (Instagram), mc_cid, and msclkid (Microsoft).
This sanitization executes in-memory on your device before the link is saved or shared, stripping third-party tracking footprints before anyone opens the link.
URL Organizer requests the absolute minimum set of Android system permissions required to deliver its core productivity capabilities:
-
android.permission.INTERNET: Required to display standard AdMob banner ads, fetch website titles and favicons directly from the target website (client-to-site GET request), and communicate with Web Risk if opted-in.
-
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Allows the app to determine if an active Internet connection is available prior to attempting favicon/title resolution or loading ads.
-
android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): Used solely to show optional status alerts when links are saved via Quick Settings tile or external intent shortcuts.
๐ซ
Permissions We NEVER Request
URL Organizer never asks for: Precise Location (GPS), Camera, Microphone, Contacts, Phone State, SMS, or External Storage access.
To sustain ongoing development, URL Organizer displays Google AdMob standard banner ads (320x50) anchored above the navigation bar.
Google AdMob may collect and process certain device information in accordance with Google's policies, including:
- IP address (used to infer general coarse geographic location like city or country)
- Google Advertising ID (GAID), which you can reset or opt-out of personalized ads via Android Settings
- App diagnostics, crash logs, and ad interaction metrics
We have configured AdMob in strict compliance with Google Play Developer Program Policies. We do not use deceptive click incentives, interstitial spam, or background ad loading.

You hold total sovereignty over your data:
-
Individual Link Deletion: You can swipe or tap "Delete" on any link detail card to permanently purge it immediately from local storage.
-
Complete 1-Tap Wipe ("Delete all data"): In the Settings > Data & Privacy section, tapping "Delete all data" completely eradicates your entire saved link vault and preferences from your device.
-
App Uninstallation: Uninstalling URL Organizer via Android Settings instantly deletes all app data and local databases created by the app.
URL Organizer is designed as a general productivity tool and does not target children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 in the European Economic Area).
Because we do not require accounts, sign-ups, or user profiling, we do not knowingly collect, store, or solicit personally identifiable information from children. If you believe your child has submitted personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately at service@jeweality.com, and we will take immediate remedial action.
Because URL Organizer stores data locally on your device, your information is protected by Android's built-in application sandboxing architecture. No other application on your phone can read URL Organizer's private SQLite database unless your device is rooted or compromised.
All external network communications (such as website favicon fetching or Google AdMob requests) are conducted strictly over secure, encrypted HTTPS channels (TLS 1.2+).
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect app enhancements, new features, or evolving regulatory standards.
Whenever updates occur, the revised version will be published at this web URL with an updated "Effective Date". If meaningful changes occur regarding data practices, we will display an in-app notice or release note in upcoming versions. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
If you have questions, feedback, or inquiries concerning this Privacy Policy, our offline security heuristics, or your data privacy rights, please reach out to us directly:
